So Long Month of February!

Well the month of February was almost a complete write-off; actually January wasn't much better either.  Toward the middle of January, Jay came down with the a cold that turned into a sinus infection.  I got the cold about a week later and mine also turned into a sinus infection.  I got a prescription for Augmentin, which I had never taken before, and it made me completely sick to my stomach.  So not only was I horribly miserable from the sinus infection, but the antibiotic made me feel like I had a stomach bug on top of that.  I had my doctor switch my medicine to Amoxicillan, which I normally take, and I started to feel better, til I didn't.  The infection came back.  Got another prescription for Biaxin, and finally a week later I was pretty much back to normal. Fortunately, this was a good winter for us as we typically have strep throat, pneumonia and stomach bugs added to the mix, and it's also the kids who are mostly sick, not Jay and I.  Of course, the winter isn't over yet, but I'm crossing my fingers that spring will be here soon, and we will be all stay well!
