This past weekend Jay and I entered art work in the Reading Art Association Fall Art Show. We are trying to become more active in the "art" scene. I entered two photographs, and Jay entered one of his pen and inks (his other two have already sold) titled, "Passerine". We like the Reading show because the quality of the art work is very high which makes competing so exciting. This time the dice rolled in my favor, and I won first place in photography for my photo titled, "The Rose Arbor at WPI", and even more exciting IT SOLD!!! This was an image I took on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus when our family spent the day (and I mean the whole day) there for the Destination Imagination State Tournament that Raine's team participated in. I am also including the picture of Raine's art teacher, Nancy Stewart, who won third place for her photo titled "Ilse".

Congratulations!! I am so happy for you that the art world is recognizing your fabulous talent! Both of you are amazing and I am impressed that you are getting out there and sharing your talent with the world! I better start saving my money so I can buy one of your pieces before you are only affordable to wealthy collectors!
Wow, that is so cool!
