Jay's Birthday

Jay's birthday was April 3rd and this year he turned 39, just one year shy of the Big 4-0.  The thing about birthdays is that some years they are good, some years they are just blah, and some are just terrible.  Jay had a blah birthday this year.  He had to get up at the crack of dawn to go into work, because unfortunately, employers don't seem to care if it's your special day, and one of their customers was unhappy about something and it fell to Jay to try to make the customer happy.  So even in the middle of his party, Jay had to field phone calls and check e-mails, etc.   That would be a blah birthday for me, too.  One thing that kept it from being a terrible birthday was his staff and a bunch of his co-workers took him out to lunch at his favorite Thai restaurant.
